Some of you have asked about the lamps in my new house since I mentioned that we had refurbished them in a previous post. So, here are the details on these lamps:
The original lamps looked like this, but with really ugly, pleated, and dirty lampshades. (sorry mom)
Then we sprayed the bases with two coats of a metallic or mirrored silver spray paint.
Then I bought lamp shades from Target similar to this one (they don't have the ones I bought any more. I actually had to go to 4 different Target stores to find the two I got.)
And the final product! I love them!
I hope this inspires you to look around your home and freshen up an old item.
